Trade and projects

For interior designers, architects, and the hotels, short-lets and offices they work for. Large-format macramé, made to a brief and to a date.

Working with us

We work the way a design studio works, not the way a craft stall does. Every piece begins with a sketch drawn to the real dimensions of the wall. Nothing is cut until that sketch is approved, so what arrives on site is what was signed off.

Lead timeThree weeks from approval of the sketch. In busy periods new work joins a queue, and we give you the finish date when you order.
MeasuringOn-site measurement anywhere on Lagos Island, at no cost. Elsewhere we size from photographs and your drawings.
ConfidentialityWe sign an NDA for a design that belongs to you or your client. Work under an NDA is never photographed for our own use.
Terms60% on approval, 40% before delivery. Quotes hold for 14 days.
DeliveryAcross Lagos, anywhere in Nigeria, and worldwide by courier.

What suits a project

  • Wide wall pieces for a reception, a stairwell, or a long bedhead wall where a framed print would be lost.
  • Macramé curtains that filter light across a window without closing a room off.
  • Room dividers for open-plan spaces and short-lets, where texture does the work a wall would do.
  • Repeat pieces for several rooms, knotted to one specification so a floor of bedrooms reads as one scheme.

Why texture, and why handmade

Hard rooms — glass, concrete, tile, gloss — reflect sound and feel cooler than their photographs suggest. Cotton absorbs rather than reflects, and a hand-knotted surface breaks light in a way a flat print cannot. It is also, plainly, local: made in Lagos by hand, which matters to a hospitality brand telling a story about where it is.

Specifying a piece

Send the elevation or a photograph with dimensions, the finish schedule or the colours you're working to, and the date of handover. We'll come back with a sketch, a quote and a date. Our sizes are widths — the drop is set by the design and shown on the sketch.

Pieces are made to order, so the earlier a project is scoped the better a handover date holds. For a fit-out with several rooms, talk to us before the furniture is ordered rather than after.

Our terms of sale apply to trade orders too.
